Programs: Museum operations & exhibitions:the museum is home to a permanent collection of photographs and artifacts that document the inspirational life of the winningest player in baseball history. Yogi's legacy reaches far beyond the playing field, telling a uniquely american story about loyalty, patriotism, respect, strength of character and purpose. Rotating exhibitions expound on important themes from his life. The exhibitions provide engaging content for the museum's education programs, which focus on character development and ethics.
camps and clinics:the museum operated two summer camps promoting the values that made yogi berra a national treasure, including sportsmanship, teamwork and respect for others. The baseball and softball camps offered scholarships to 60 young people from underserved communities such as paterson and newark. In addition to receiving on-field instruction from college coaches and players, the campers spent time in the museum exploring the exhibits and watching related films. All campers received lunch and snacks, as well as a free t-shirt and cap.
character education programs:approximately 2,000 k-12 students participated in the museum's character education programs, both on site at the museum and in their respective schools. Museum-trained educators delivered lessons in anti-bullying designed to engage young people and inspire them to stand up for themselves and others.
