Mission: Foof's mission is to preserve and sustain the historic fox oakland theatre as a cultural resource, arts and education facility. Working in concert with similar cultural and economic organizations locally and regionally, foof will help to endure that this key asset attracts.
Programs: Foof conducts regular tours for the public, for private corporations, student groups, historical group and civic organizations, showcasing the theather and the benefits that it has brought to the city of oakland. Besides, foof was integral to the restoration of the fox theater and supported the revival of the uptown district. As part of its ongoing outreach with the community, foof fundraised and supported a collaborative, multi-organization thanksgiving effort to provide meals, showers, haircuts, clothes, medical services, care bags and calls to family for 300 members of the community for thanksgiving 2016.
