Nonprofit Overview
Causes: Arts & Culture, Cultural & Ethnic Awareness, Historical Organizations, Music
Mission: The preservation and perpetuation of traditional Folklife Arts including Folk Music, Folk Dance, Storytelling and the associated Folklore. This is done through 100 annual music, dance & storytelling events that all invite and encourage participation.
Programs: We annually present: Over a dozen concerts and special programs (1000 benefit). Weekly informal, participatory Folk Music gatherings (1200 benefit). 16 Old-Time Community Barn Dances with live music and callers that teach all trad square & contr dances (700 benefit)Monthly Stortelling Guild meetings (350 benefit)Annual Fox Valley Folk Music & Storytelling Festival (Illinois' Largest - 9000 benefit)
