Mission: It is the first assembly for Syrian Civil Society Organizations inside Syria In the modern Syrian history under the blessed revolution. Its establishment had been announced in 24/10/2015 and it is Civil Society Foundation cares about citizens & homeland's Affairs, wherever they are, whether inside or outside Syria. It is a non-governmental independent foundation ; not related with any Party or political movement and it never makes a distinction between its members for their religious belonging, ethnic belonging, doctrinal belonging and communal belonging. Until now, it includes six provinces (Daraa, Quneitra, Rif Dimashq, As-Suwayda, Idlib, Aleppo) and includes more than 30 Civil Society Organizations inside Syria. Goals: The FSCSO concentrates its efforts to achieve change in four major areas: Capacity building: Build the skills and capacities of Syrian civil society organizations to effectively aid and Support the communities they serve. Civil Society Empowerment: Empower and educate Syrian’s civic sector on how to contribute to the transition period, including constitution drafting, transitional justice, and institutional reform. Awareness Raising: Increase awareness of the importance of civil society in establishing a future Syria which is democratic, inclusive, and respectful of human rights. International Outreach: Communicate the needs and demands of Syrian civil society organizations to the International community. Empowerment of women in all spheres of life and the preservation of their dignity.
