Mission: 1- Raise awareness of the community of its rare disease population through public community events 2- Provide financial support to rare disease patients that will improve the quality of their life 3- Raise money to support research for Casey's rare form of muscular dystrophy: Hereditary Myopathy with Early Respiratory Failure (HMERF)
Results: -Held the Rare Disease Day event on February 28, 2021 in the LaGrange Square. -Have held two bike/motorcycle rides to raise awareness and funds to operate the foundation. -Have donated 10% of our fundraising to Ohio State Wexner Medical Center to fund research on the titin gene, the location of Casey's genetic flaw
