The Fort Worth hope center has been so very helpful! They provide food for us every Thursday and Friday. The volunteers are some of the nicest people I’ve ever met and I truly appreciate what they are doing for my community
Food very helpful in these times of high inflation-frees up some $ for gas & other bills. Both the staff & volunteers are a pleasure to visit weekly!
I came to the Hope Center back in January 2020 when my whole world was turned upside down. I started out doing community service and when I completed that I continued to come and volunteer every week during Covid. The people that work here are some of the most caring and thoughtful people. I went from being a person in need to a FRIEND. With everything that we have going on in our world, we can always use more friends. I really can't say enough about the Hope Center. They really help you when you feel that no one else cares.
In 2016 our world exploded. The company my husband worked for 25 years at, closed without any notice and the owners went on a 1 year world tour, leaving no way to contact then. No salary, bonus, retirement, or job. Since he was in his 60's he was considered unemployment. Then, He had Hepatitis B and considered terminal. I was diagnosed with 2 types of cancer in 2 months and heart arrhythmia fron the wrong blood pressure drug. Neither of us could work and somehow qualified for no assistance. We were advised at 62 to wait until 65 to get SS. By waiting, we got 1/2 of what we were told. We were barely surviving. In October 2019 I spent 22 days in the hospital with congestive heart failure. We finally qualified for help with rent. It was an all black community and we were the token white couple. They treated us terribly. We were terrified and hopeless. Then Covid hit. We are both immunocompromised. Might as well just give up and die.
Then we heard about HOPE Ft. Worth and met Rebecca. She was so kind and friendly and so was everyone else. They prayed with and for us. Gave us encouragement and food and a little dignity back. Going to HOPE was my big social outing for the week. Something to look forward to in a very difficult time. Just when we thought it couldn't get worse, my Daughter's husband threatened to kill her and she was forced to live with us. HOPE helped her too. Rebecca has gone the extra mile and even helped her find a place to live.
The food was vital to live and we are so very grateful. The HOPE, kindness, caring, encouragement, providing information about other services, and prayers have meant everything to us. We are happy again and want to live and get better again. All thanks to HOPE and all the volunteers, and especially REBECCA. Thank you!
I am a member of the church here I enjoyed volunteering and the people are very pleasant to work with I enjoy interacting with people okay
I was in a very low point in my life low income and just lost on how I can change my life around and reinvent a better me. I can tell you The Hope Center open my eyes completely. From boosting confidence to just having faith in others, they managed to show me a new path and how to get there by staying true to yourself and having faith in other people. If your like me I definitely recommend you give The Hope Center a visit.
The FORT WORTH HOPECENTER is truly a blessing to the East Side of Fort Worth and surrounding areas. They truly breathe HOPE into the lives of anyone who comes to them in need. They supply groceries, job training, and job placement and continue to operate in abundance during the pandemic. If you are in need or know of someone that is, the HOPECENTER is a good place to start. Myself and my children are able to volunteer here in various capacities as well. This has allowed my children and myself to reap the benefit of giving and a great learning opportunity for my children to become givers and embrace people from all walks of life.
Good variety of healthy food weekly for the family; as well as pet food when we need it. Workers & volunteers as well as staff are professional, yet still friendly. The Fort Worth Hope Center is truly a blessing for the community.

The program is straight to the point and is geared to guided the student directly to a new and exciting new career. As the student is being taught safety and and precision control of the machine he/she is taught how to use cognate mental control and perception. How to look ahead and perform the job with efficiency. The program here at the Hope Center is excellent.

This is one of the truly charitable of places; many generous, compassionate people who just want to help with nothing in return except to see people who have stumbled and or Fallen get up and succeed. From the volunteers who serve, to the staff who network and provide resources, to the very capable instructors they all are doing their part to make the world better for everyone one individual at a time. If you know anyone that needs some help I would advise you to direct them here, and if you are searching for any help yourself, please come here and accept with a grateful heart what they will most definitely have to offer you.

I first came to the Hope Center in 2010 when my kids were assigned there for work experience through Texas Workforce. I was impressed by how excited my kids seemed to be to work there. They seemed to really like, and were always talking about the people they worked with. I started attending the weekly food distribution mostly out of curiosity but soon found that I genuinely liked spending time at the center. When they started the Culinary program, I signed up and took the Cake decorating class with Mrs. Sarah Atchison. The class was so much fun. Mrs. Sarah is a wonderful teacher. Very knowledgeable and patient. Little did I know at the time that I would not only gain a new skill that now allows me to make a very good income from home, but I also gained a whole new extended family. The staff at the Hope Center took me in and treated me like their own. In the years that I've been associated with the center, I have seen this happen over and over again. Someone comes in broken... in need, and they are wrapped in a blanket of love and acceptance. Prayed over and given whatever type of support they need until they are able to maintain on their own again.
The training programs at Fort Worth Hope center offer a very high-quality hands-on experience with trainers who are knowledgeable, thorough, and vested in giving the students what they need to succeed. You cannot go wrong with this organization.

Since my forklift class at the Hope Center in Fort Worth Texas, where I received the best instruction on how to maintain and safely operate a fork lift I have gone on to work at places life Fedex Express, XPO logistic, an currently Penske Logstic. Also, I have furthered my own skill with the excellent foundation I received at the Hope Center to get certified in other lifts as well like cherry picker, reach truck, electric pallet jack, an not least scissor lift. The time I had at the hope center was awesome, and the instructor could not have been more exciting, and knowledgeable about every lift. Very big on safety, which by the way, has lead to me being on safety teams as well. If you are thinking about getting certified for just one, or all the forklifts, I would say to look at The Hope Center in Fort worth.

So far in my fortlift training everyone has been extremely friendly and helpful. I have a great teacher Kevin Thornton. He explains easy techniques that helps you grasp the concept. I suggest anyone who is interested in this type of career, this would be the place to go!
After my dad became very ill, I had to stop working and provide elder care for him over the past year. Once he began to recover, I found myself in a new city without a job.
I was fortunate enough to find the Fort Worth Hope Center, and they worked with me on funding and scheduling so that I could take the Forklift Certification class and it was phenomenal!
The Fort Worth Hope Center is an amazing place!
The Fort Worth HOPE Center is a organization where a person can come for total restoration in life. I first came to FWHC for groceries, while in the church service offered by Without walls Church, the pastor expressed the growing need of volunteers for the FWHC. I signed up. At this time in my life I was going through a felony drug charge, Here at the FWHC /WWC I found a support group that has grown to be family, Pastor Orlando and Jo Ann Reyes and Mrs Sarah Director of Kitchen walked along side me offering support in every area of my life. I was released from the charge and now I too walk along side many facing similar challenges in life while serving others here at the FWHC.
The FWHC offers:
A safe and welcoming place to perform your Community service hours or labor detail where regardless of your charge you are welcomed. ( Many return as long term volunteers as they have learned the value of giving back and the bonds they have formed with others here).
We offer forklift training and job placement assistance; many whom have spent 10 + years in prison have gone through the training program and are currently working. They are now law abiding citizens and are now paying taxes.
Rather than repeating the cycle of crime and becoming a burden on the tax payer, we offer groceries to all in need. We have partnered with many other non profit organizations and local churches serving over 50,000 people monthly. We also handout groceries on site and off site, which include taking groceries into apartments, adult daycare centers, tent groups, and to the streets where the need is great. Due to the growing demand of the service we are providing to the community, we are currently in need of another reefer truck to be able and reach more in need. The Fort Worth HOPE Center and Without Walls Church are truly fulfilling the scripture Matthew 25:35-36 which commissions us to feed the poor and clothe the naked, visit the sick, and visit those that are incarcerated. We are a beacon of light to those living in the east side of Fort Worth and surrounding areas sharing hope and healing to the community.
I was very disappointed in this place. First, the website says it starts from 8-10am. So we get there at 7:30 along with my children who had a light snack. We wait in line for 30 mins to get in. Once we're in we were seated and proceeded to wait until 9 am for a church service that was not specified on the website.
I love church, but I felt it was very misleading... also the guy that preached talked more about his personal life than the Bible, he sang his own songs, and was really into himself. He changed the subject numerous times so I don't even know what the service was about!
It's about 10 am now and service is over. My children have been complaining about how hungry they were as was I.
The lady next to me said they usually start at 10:30. So there we are waiting another 45 mins before they called our number to head to the back.
Long story short we got there at 7:30 didn't leave until 11:15 am.
I felt forced to attend a service that didn't do anything but upset me. My children couldn't concentrate because they were very hungry, and what if I was from another religion? Can't you still show the love of Jesus just by giving food, and an invitation to attend church at the location? To me, that speaks more volume than forcing a person to sit through that.
We desperately needed help so that's why we were there, but it just didn't seem right in my heart the way things were done.
Again, I'm a believer, and I already attend a church that I love, I have a job, and I don't receive assistance. We were just in a bind because I was hurt and couldn't work for a few days so it put us back a little. I just needed help this one time. And I do thank you for the food you provided.
The Fort Worth HOPE Center is an organization that "Fights Hunger and Feeds HOPE" They fight hunger by distributing food three times a week to families and Seniors whose income falls in the TEXCAP poverty income guidelines. They average providing groceries for over 100,000 individuals annually.
They "feed HOPE" through their School of HOPE which provides training and certification for entry level jobs such as OSHA Forklift and Scissor lift certification and ServSafe Food managers Certification and new Front of the HOUSE Certification for jobs in the food industry of local restaurants and banquet halls in hotels throughout the Metroplex. They also earn certifications for institutional food services and catering, plus Cake Decorating from beginner to advanced.
Partnering with Workforce and with their inhouse job search team and preparation class "Preparing for Success" their students get personal care and preparation for entering the workforce.
Fort Worth HOPE Center also has a Dental office (Hope SMILE Center) which serves individuals with missing or broken teeth to restore their SMILE with new teeth. This also restores their self esteem and helps prepares them for their job interviews. Dr. Laurence Oliver from Oliver Implants in Colleyville, TX is the director of the Hope SMILE Center and has restored over 35 smiles which has made a life changing impact in the lives of those who have been blessed by these services.
