I first came to the Hope Center in 2010 when my kids were assigned there for work experience through Texas Workforce. I was impressed by how excited my kids seemed to be to work there. They seemed to really like, and were always talking about the people they worked with. I started attending the weekly food distribution mostly out of curiosity but soon found that I genuinely liked spending time at the center. When they started the Culinary program, I signed up and took the Cake decorating class with Mrs. Sarah Atchison. The class was so much fun. Mrs. Sarah is a wonderful teacher. Very knowledgeable and patient. Little did I know at the time that I would not only gain a new skill that now allows me to make a very good income from home, but I also gained a whole new extended family. The staff at the Hope Center took me in and treated me like their own. In the years that I've been associated with the center, I have seen this happen over and over again. Someone comes in broken... in need, and they are wrapped in a blanket of love and acceptance. Prayed over and given whatever type of support they need until they are able to maintain on their own again.
The training programs at Fort Worth Hope center offer a very high-quality hands-on experience with trainers who are knowledgeable, thorough, and vested in giving the students what they need to succeed. You cannot go wrong with this organization.
