Mission: The Fort Sheridan Historical Society was formed to honor, support, educate about, and promote the Fort and its history from the late 1880’s to present. Our goal is to provide useful information about the Fort and its history to former and current residents and those interested in the history of the Fort and the North Shore.
Results: Through our programs and events, each year we spread knowledge of the Fort and its history to hundreds of individuals.
Target demographics: Honor and promote the history of the Fort.
Direct beneficiaries per year: hundreds of individuals learn more about the history of the Fort, the historic buildings, and their former occupants.
Geographic areas served: the former US Army Fort Sheridan, IL, a designated US Landmark Community
Programs: Speakers, historic home and historic district tours, and community events to promote awareness of the Fort and military veterans.
