Mission: Our mission is to make available life saving surgery for impoverished children with congenital and acquired heart disease from underserved areas throughout the world. We provide training, education and resources to care for these children in third world countries. In 2011 we provided funds to treat 2 children.
Programs: Our mission is to make available life saving surgery for impoverished children with congenital and acquired heart disease from underserved areas throughout the world. One out of every 100 children worldwide is born with a congenital heart defect, making it the most common birth defect. Approximately 50 of these children can have their hearts completely repaired. Many other childrens conditions can be dramatically improved. Our goal is to assure every child with heart disease can have access to the appriopriate medical and surgical treatment. We also provide training, education and resources to care for these children in third world countries. In 2011 we provided funds to treat 2 children 1 from philippines and 1 from nigeria. The childen were treated successfully and returned to their home countries.
