Mission: FEAT founded in 1993 by a group of parents and professionals that wanted to improve early autism intervention services in the Sacramento area. FEAT has no paid employees so all donations go directly to providing services to children with autism and their parents. FEAT funds early treatment services for children, education on the benefits or early diagnosis and treatment, and advocacy services for families seeking support from public agencies. FEAT also publishes an annual Handbook for Parents, a quarterly Newsletter, has monthly Resource Meetings and periodic social events. For the last three years it has sponsored the Capitol Autism Conference in Sacramento bringing recognized experts on autism and its treatment.
