Causes: Education
Mission: The excellence in missouri foundation's mission is to educate and recognize missouri organizations in their pursuit of performance excellence using the baldrige management model.
Programs: Missouri quality award-this program is the flag ship for the foundation. Through the year apprx 159 volunteers are provided 3+ days of training and then work as a team to review, perform analysis and assess the mqa applications to create a feedback report which will be used by an applicant organization to improve their business. In addition to feedback, report applicants are provided with additional educational services by the foundation staff such as criteria interpretations, feedback interpretation and ideas for how to implement changes to their organization.
educational sessions/public offerings - the foundation sponsors and presents a number of public educational offerings throughout the year. At the annual excellence in missouri conference, approx. 200 individuals learn from past mqa recipients as well as national mbnqa recipients about how to apply the baldrige principles within their business. Additionally, smaller 1 and 2 day seminars are conducted in which participants are provided with the skills necessary to develop and implement their own baldrige based assessment program within their organzation. Staff also speak at a variety of conferences sponsored by other organizations that are related to the core mission of the foundation. Plus customized training/consulting-many clients work with eimf on a one-on-one basis to improve their organization. Staff work directly with a variety of "clients" to develop customized strategic plans, measurement systems as well as assessment programs.
