This is our second year attending ELCC. We love it! We are able to make friends and learn so many new and different things. My kids take Karate, piano, music, art, math games, little house crafts, and young entrepreneurs to name a few. These are all very enriching and so very affordable. I could not provide all of these educational opportunities for my kids on my own and could not afford these classes if offered in a for profit model. I am so very thankful for this co-op. It has immensely enriched and blessed our family.

This is our first year attending Excellence in Learning co-op and in just the few weeks we've been there, we've really fallen in love with the group and everything it has to offer - which is a lot! I went from dreading every Thursday at our previous Co-op to looking forward to Thursdays now and being sad when we have to miss.
I have highly recommended ELCC to my local Homeschooling friends.

I ventured into homeschooling alone and was really antisocial after my Army service. In an effort to find extra curriculars and socialization for my kids I reluctantly gave it a try...
IT CHANGED OUR LIVES!!
Everything I had anxiety about was quickly put to rest.... these people are truly loving, accepting, nurturing, and walking the walk of true Christianity. There are so many people of different backgrounds, everything from un-schoolers to regimented super-schoolers, and they all come together in true love and giving spirit to make a wonderful and safe school for our children to ALL grow in.

Excellence in Learning Community Co-Op is a wonderful place to learn and have a sense of community. Whether you are there all the time, just for one class, or even an associate member, they want to help you facilitate your goals as homeschoolers. The co-op offers a lot of great classes, some athletics, drama, some musical instrument instruction, and ranges from pre-school to seniors in high school. The prices are beyond affordable and the classes provide a good variety. The people teaching, running, and volunteering are really what make this place special. Our directors and leadership will help you around the clock and way outside of our standard running hours because they care about the co-op and care about you as individuals and members.

How we met: We came to Excellence in Learning Community Co-op,first virtually after moving into central Ohio. We followed their FB page and website for the longest time. Then we joined in person (we have a 35 minute drive since we live in Columbus). Though we have always homeschooled, we had never been part of a co-op before and I was super nervous. Joining with a baby/toddler was very overwhelming, but the administration team explained to me in depth just how easy it could be to contribute and they answered every question I had. They're just so great at accommodating the best they can. Mothers can nurse babies, make bottles, and change diapers. These are just normal parts of life and any growing family shouldn't have to wonder how/where they'll be able to do that while at co-op. I'm just obsessed with how easy it was to have a nursing babe and volunteer at ELCC!! They also offer flexibility, patience, and compassion to special needs families and special situations. They literally become your family and show up in a time of need, even outside of co-op.

Regarding academics and extra curriculars: I love the range of classes and teachers. Teachers are required to have background checks and yearly follow up checks to maintain safety and professionalism in the classroom. There are rules and protocols for security and I really just appreciate them so much. The teachers are people with a heart for children and teaching. My one son really thrives on recognition for his actions and the praise and kindness he gets from his teachers have really improved his confidence.

ELCC offers drama and sports like basketball and volleyball and this year they are adding cheer. This is an amazing and super affordable opportunity for so many homeschool families. They also have a special set of teen coordinators who arrange teen nights like a corn maze or bonfire.

It's the little things: ELCC has all the little things that I want my kids to experience. It has theme days like crazy hair day or anything but a backpack day & spirit wear like hoodies and t-shirts. They have turkey trots, field trips, field days, recess, science fair, fundraisers, student showcase, and every parent's favorite: school pics and a year book!! It also has opportunities like a mom's night out or do-dads meet ups for the parents to have some kid free time (sometimes family events, too) to build up our relationships as friends outside of the co-op.

The facility: We are in an older building that reminds me much of my elementary buildings in the late 90s. To be honest, I find a little nostalgic charm with it. It is not top of the line, but its "home" and we make it work. Our facilities coordinator works VERY hard to keep it clean and maintained. Her and her volunteers put time into everything from mowing to wiping down railings between classes. She isn't just the facilities coordinator though, she is another mom and friend to many and she selflessly serves our co-op. When you come to the co op, you'll see that this servant heart is found in all of the members.

The co-op just got a playground makeover this last summer and now has a newer and bigger playset, a new gaga pit, and a fresh coat of paint on the climbing structures. It looks great & my little ones love playing there at recess.

Excellence in Learning Community Co-op is amazing. The directors, coordinators, admin team, board members, and coaches are deeply invested in homeschooling as well as in contributing to YOUR homeschool experience.

This is my first year homeschooling and my fist quarter at Excellence In Learning Co-Op. My girls love it. Coming from public school it still gives my girls a public school feel to eat lunch with friends in the cafeteria, and attend classes, but gives them that hands on approach to learning. The staff and volunteers are amazing and I have learned so much about different home schooling styles it is truly helping me through my first year of being a homeschool mom.

We are thrilled with the number of field trips and events as well. My son and I especially enjoyed participating in the spring play (him) and helping with the yearbook committee (me). We love ELCC!

I pulled my son from his freshman year in high school last year with having no experience what-so-ever with homeschooling! I tried it all on my own for several months, and my son was starting to get bored with learning from home. I had to figure out what more I could do, so I attended an ELCC training conference. It was at this conference that I realized that there was a whole world of homeschoolers/parents out there for support and resources. Finding the Excellence in Learning Community Co-op was exactly what I needed to bring our homeschooling experience to life! I have now taken my second son out of public school and to this co-op!
We are truly blessed to be able to be a part of this Christian learning community.

My family and kids have benefited not only academically from Excellence in Learning Community Co-Op (ELCC) we’ve also benefited socially. It’s hard moving to a new area and not knowing anyone. ELCC offers a myriad of classes and activities for any budget and the volunteer staff have a heart to serve. The spring play is always a favorite for us. I have made so many friends in the time I have been attending ELCC. I would recommend this place to anyone that would listen. All of the teachers are amazing and truly care for the students. They also give each child the time on the consideration that is needed. NO ONE IS LEFT OUT OR BEHIND. The directors even go out of their way to make you feel welcome and accepted. We started at Excellence in Learning Community Co-op with my 2 youngest children. My daughter is now 22 and looks fondly back on the days especially in dance class as I was the helper. So grateful for the added chance to connect with my teen and now that my youngest is a teen, I am so glad to have the opportunity to have great friends for him. I love the community we have and appreciate all the work that goes into it!

I joined Excellence in Learning Community Co-op seven years ago. We are getting ready again for the first day back after the summer break. My son is so excited about getting started, learning, and connecting with his friends. I think my favorite part is walking in and seeing all the smiles on the faces of the children. Yes, there were tears when we had to cancel for weather last year! This organization provides resources to educate my child in a way that he thrives. The friendships that we have made are priceless. The cost remains low as many families live off of one income to home school. I am so thankful to be part of ELCC and hoping that it will be there for my grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

I have been homeschooled my whole life and started with ELCC when I was 6 years old. It was nice to have my own schedule and flexibility for co-op day to be able to learn with others without having to be in a public school environment. I'm a sophomore in high school now while participating in the college credit plus program at MVNU. I still enjoy co-op for more recreational classes like piano, a fun dance class, sports and just a chance to see friends and meet new ones. Homeschooling is the best when you have people to share it with! I highly recommend ELCC!!

We have been blessed by ELCC for almost a decade now! We started attending when our 4 children were little and co-op day quickly became the favorite school day of the week! Now, our 2 oldest twins are graduating high school and we're about to have all teenagers. Co-op has grown with us and met our different needs along the way. From meeting friends (for the kids and myself), fun elective classes to round out our curriculum, recitals and field trips to Mom's nights, service projects, proms and sports teams, ELCC has helped make our homeschooling journey full and memorable! I have served in various leadership positions through the years and recently have helped with coaching girls volleyball and basketball. Last year I had the challenge and privilege to coach a team with my 3 daughters playing together. It's been pretty awesome!!

We love this homeschooling community! Eight years ago, myself and our 4 children found ourselves isolated in our home education. We discovered ELCC and signed up for a couple of fun classes in hopes of establishing friendships. Co-op day quickly became the favorite school day of the week with each of us finding a place to belong. The more we connected and valued co-op, the more we have given back with our time. I became a teacher, then helped as a Facilities Coordinator, served as the Secretary and continue to give to ELCC now as a Doyenne board member. As an interdenominational Christian group, I have been so encouraged to see wonderful examples of faith, to see God's hand guiding our journey together, and to be part of a group that gives back to the surrounding community. I love seeing families find the support they need to be able to homeschool successfully! Through the years co-op has fulfilled the different needs of our family - sometimes through art, music and drama classes, and other times with core subjects like writing and science. Some families come for one class and others stay all day. This is the beauty of homeschooling and ELCC - the flexibility to make it fit to whatever the changing needs are in order to help our students thrive! The new curriculum library has saved our family hundreds of dollars already and makes it possible for other families to even consider homeschooling. And now with teenagers, these friendships are even more important and so much fun to share in milestone events like Proms, student showcases and graduations, not to mention all the other field trips and coordinated events. We love our ELCC family!!

Excellence in Learning changed the trajectory- not just of our homeschool and academic life- but of our personal lives.
We came to this amazing co-op as fairly new to homeschooling. My two children and I were still in the process of figuring out what the best routes were for each subject, how best to involve electives, how to socialize more often while trying to make new friends, and where to turn without judgement when we had questions. Enter ELCC.
Not only have my children found their footing socially and academically, but I have encountered a tight-knit community of love, help, hope, and ideas. The energy at co-op is electric! There are open ears and eyes everywhere you turn. Children and adults alike are in a constant state or teaching, learning, and leading through compassion and togetherness.
We have made forever friends and family; we are part of a forever foundation of resourcefulness and success. The level of care and attention that goes into making this organization work is absolutely tremendous, and our lives and minds have been enriched beyond measure.

ELCC (Excellence in Learning Community Cooperative) has been a huge resource for my family over the past 5 years. At first I just saw this group as a source for classes that I struggled with. Science classes, music, physical education all fell into this category. But as the years have passed, ELCC has become SO much more. It has become a community of support for almost every aspect of homeschooling. Our daughter plays volleyball on a team of kids that I know from classes I've taught. I'm friends with their mom's. I love that when one of us is rejoicing over a new baby or grieving a loss, the membership is there with meal trains, prayers, or other support. This group of families challenges me to be a better Christian and member of the community. Love you, ELCC!

I started attending here in 2009 with my family. We were so impressed with the variety of classes and the warm and encouraging atmosphere of this co-op. In 2010, I began serving here as a registration helper, and in 2011, myself and another mom were asked to continue the vision of this group as directors. In 2014 we transitioned from a loose association of families to a 501c3 serving the greater homeschooling community. In 2015 we moved to a 30,000 sq ft building to accommodate everyone who wanted to attend. This group is still a great support for me in homeschooling my children. I can’t imagine homeschooling without their help and encouragement!

Our family has been involved with Excellence in Learning Community Co-Op for more than 6 years. Two of our children attended class at ELCC and participated in extra curricular activities that have helped to prepare them for a well balanced future. I could provide a mile long list of reasons why our family returned to ELCC with each new school year and how ELCC has benefited many families in many different ways, but I will focus on just a few. ELCC is God honoring and in return, God has blessed ELCC. The leadership and parents involved in ELCC are passionate about children and highly capable of providing academic education and training in the ways of Christian virtue. The atmosphere at ELCC is one of inclusion where children are widely accepted and not left to be alone. From my vantage point, children are excited about going to ELCC to learn. Also, ELCC offers children many opportunities for social development across all age groups.

This is such a great organization, I've never seen children love to be in school so much! The best part about this environment is that you see older kids looking after the younger ones and getting along as if they were a family! No dizting other age groups like you see in the public school system.
The entire Leadership Team and the Teachers of E.L.C.C. help in promoting this atmosphere while the children gain top notch learning and have fun doing it!

Excellence in Learning Community Co-op has helped hundreds of children, and their families, educate and be educated in a manner that best suits them. They have planted three other local co-ops. On a social note....my son has made a lot of friends at Excellence in Learning Co-Op. He absolutely loves to go once a week. He really looks forward seeing all his friends. On an academic level he loves the classes he takes. He gets to brush up on his math skills, he gets to do a lot of fun science experiments, absolutely loves the art class, gets plenty of exercise in gym class. We choose to be there all day but if someone's schedule doesn't allow that you can always just take 1 or 2 classes. The teachers there are really awesome and very knowledgeable on the subjects they are teaching. It really is like one big family. I would strongly recommend Excellence in Learning Community Co-Op.
