Causes: Arts & Culture, Symphony Orchestras
Mission: The eureka symphony is a community orchestra providing quality music, performed, supported and appreciated by all ages, bringing enrichment to the musicians and the community.
Programs: During the july 1, 2016 through june 30, 2017 concert season, the eureka symphony produced five concert weekends (10 performance) attended by over 5,000 adults, students and children, of the total 1,539 attended the concerts using complimentary tickets. As part of our educational outreach mission, the schools to symphony program presented two additional concerts free of charge to more than 1,400 elementary school students from 19 area schools. Our symphony to schools outreach program sent small ensembles of players to school concerts performing classical selections. The musicians to school program played in 12 schools for an estimated audience of 730 students.
