I have a similar worry about this organization. I have run across them several times, asking about where the money goes. It is often a very vague response. Today I asked for a flier or pamphlet explaining what they do and was handed a hand written 3X5 index card.
I called the number on the card and it went to a message machine (not voicemail, machine) that did not identify the organization, but was a generic greeting by a woman. I have tried to call other numbers in the past for their Prescott office only to find them disconnected.
I question if they aren't gathering all of the money they make and living off of it. Never have had a good feeling about them.
I came to know about Enough, Inc while shopping at various Wal-Mart’s. I am always happy to donate funds to nonprofits who aid in child abuse because this topic closely relates to my childhood. On numerous occasions and at various Wal-Mart locations I have donated funds to this nonprofit. What caught my attention and brought me to this site to look up Enough, Inc. was the fact that the young girl behind a well designed booth was not able to name some of the charities the nonprofit donates to. I kept that in my mind and wondered off to shop; however when I was done shopping, I exited Wal-Mart to find the usual lady had returned with the young girl behind the booth. I have always wanted to ask about the charities but many times I am busy, and on the go but this time, I decided to ask. The usual lady introduced herself as the owner Susan, and the young lady as her daughter. Susan stated that she donates to local charities and appreciates my contribution. I asked if the donations were 100% of collected funds. Susan stated 100% minus usual paperwork cost. The answer did not feel right and something in my gut made me feel sick.
Thanks GuideStar for providing information on Enough Inc.
After looking up Enough Inc., I am disappointed to find out that her Exempt status had been revoked because she has not filed for over three years to IRS.
I want to warn donors Susan drives a white large SUV with license plate tag ENOUGH. She sets up a large booth with toys all over for large donors to choose from. Her last location was at Wal-Mart on Baseline and Lindsay a Mesa, AZ location. I have also seen her at the Wal-Mart on Stapley and Baseline a Mesa, AZ location. Susan is currently sporting a nose bandage from what looks like nose surgery, and maybe due to plastic nose surgery. I am not sure and could be wrong but if your daughter nor yourself cannot state what charities the funds will be going too sounds an alarm to me, and hopefully to anybody reading this review.
