Since the death of the 19 Granite Mountain Hotshots in Yarnell, Az, the 100 Club has been and integral part of the support system. As a family liaison to a young widow, I have experienced first hand how the 100 Club has not only financially contributed to the families need, but also to the healing of the their broken hearts. Sharon from the 100 Club is always here for a hug and a kind word. I would consider Sharon of the 100 Club a new friend. As an organization, the 1oo Club is exceptional. Much gratitude to the board of directors, Sharon and all working and involved in this outreach.
The 100 Club stepped in in many ways. Not only did they provide financial support, but also emotional as well. Sharon, thank you for serving us and all the families -- and for your continual support. It has meant the world to us.
Our 21 year old son Kevin was one of the 19 Hot Shot firefighters killed in the Yarnell Hill Fire on June 30, 2013. The Arizona 100 club has been a godsend to our family. The have provided for us in so many ways. Sharon and her staff are unbelievably compassionate and they have been a bright side to our darkest days. Our lives have been made less stressful by the 100 club, we are truly humbled.
My son Dustin was one of the 19 Granite Mountain Hot Shots that was killed in the line of duty on June 30th 2013. Our sorrow is great, but our hope is greater. Dustin had a genuine faith in Jesus Christ, and he wasn't afraid to talk about it. That knowledge alone has given us the greatest comfort possible. However, along side that comfort we have been blessed by the 100 Club of Arizona. They stepped in immediately alleviate the financial worries and logistics that would have otherwise overwhelmed our troubled hearts. We have nothing but praise for their expressions of love and compassion. They were way ahead of us reaching out to us in our need.
My husband passed away from stage 4 brain cancer. The 100 Club helped us a lot during my husbands illness by providing us with a plane ticket for my mom who was in another country at the moment. They also helped me a lot after my husband died and they still do. I'm so thankful for everything they had done for us. When my husband got diagnosed with cancer I was 4 months pregnant but my husbands coworkers from Peoria PD and the 100 Club were there for us to help us when we needed the most. Thanks for the beautiful work you do, it's definitely not easy. God bless you all
My husband was killed on June 30th 2013 in the Yarnell Hill Fire. I was 8 months pregnant with our first child, 24 years old and now a Widow. I could of not gotten thru this without the love and support of Sharon and the 100 club. They have helped myself and my family out so much thru this tragedy and continue to do so. Thank you for everything

When my husband was killed in 2010 the 100 Club was there to help me and continues to be there for me. Having people that have been through similar situations gave me someone to talk to. They take the time to to just listen when you need them most. I am grateful to have them in my life. In addition to them helping me emotionally they gave me a way to help others by creating a scholarship in my husbands name. I can't describe how amazing this organization is and how much they have helped me.
When I was the Police Chief of Scottsdale we had the unfortunate experience of losing Sergeant Tom Hontz during a SWAT training exercise. Also, following the funeral one of our motor officers, Deanna Jensen, went down on her motorcycle and sustained serious injuries. Through the entire nightmare, the 100 Club was there for the the families and the department. Most visible was Sharon who was able to relate to the pain everyone was experiencing. She shared our tears, heartbreak, and was always ready with hugs. Since that experience, I have been a continual supporter of the 1 Club and will be through the rest of my life. Sharon and the 100 Club will always have a special place in my heart. Many, many thanks for all the good work performed by the 100 Club and their supporters!
The 100 Club is an amazing organization led by generous and selfless people. When my husband died in the line of duty, the 100 Club provided immediate financial assistance to help me gather the pieces of my shattered life together. Sudden and traumatic loss like that leaves you very uncertain of the future. Their assistance set my mind at ease while I figured out what my benefits were and how we were going to navigate our future. My daughter needed counseling about five years after the death of her dad. I shared with Sharon how expensive it was to get her the help that she needed. Sharon made sure that the 100 Club helped me with those expenses. It is so comforting knowing that there is an organization like this who won't let me fall. Life without my husband has so many challenges and uncertainties. This organization helps ease a lot of those uncertainties.
At the invite of a friend, I attended my first annual meeting of the 100 club yeas ago at Phoenix Country Club...
That night Bret Tarver was lost fighting a fire, and I saw and heard at the meeting that night that the 100 club was there for his family...
I was impressed by the compassion of the group for a fallen public safety officer...
I was "hooked" to try to help...
The 100 Club is a great organization of caring people....
Having delivered benefit checks to public safety families over the years, I can say with all due honor and respect to the injured and fallen, we help and make a difference in peoples lives after an accident or tragedy...
God bless the public safety officers who keep us safe...
I became aware of the 100 Club thru a friend they support and help. I saw first hand how Honest, Dedicated and Sincere EVERYONE connected to the club is. I met the families of the fallen and was blown away by their love and support of each other and wanted to help. I don't have alot of money to give but was soon able to give some sweat which I find is just as welcomed by the club. I remain at their beck and call and gladly answer whenever Sharon calls with a request to come move this or can you???
Get involved and see for yourself. They are wonderful people.
The 100 Club of Arizona is one of the most genuinely benevolent organizations I have come into contact with in my 1,000+ hours of volunteer experience. They have touched the lives of so many Arizonans and helped those in need when no one else would take on the responsibility. The 100 Club of Arizona is only about people and serving the community.... no other strings attached. I can't speak highly enough of the employees- they love what they do and are so organized. I hope to see this organization prosper even more than it already has as I have full confidence they can do even more for the community for years and years to come with additional support. Once I graduate college, I will be sure to donate to this organization every year!
I have had the extreme honor of volunteering with 100 Club of Arizona and getting to know the amazing staff personally. You will be hard pressed to find another organization with such high integrity, and such a deep commitment to serving their beneficiaries in very practical and personal ways. As the spouse of a first responder, I feel better sending my husband out into the unknown because I know that, God forbid, if anything were to happen to him the 100 Club will be there to help our family.
The 100 club has been amazing in the helping with the GMH families. Thank you to Sharon and everyone else for everything you have done for these families!
On too many occasions, I have seen the good work done for first responders and their loved ones by members of the AZ 100 Club. They have assisted Arizona public safety families cope with the devastating injury or death of their loved ones and their forever changed lives. They have helped in cases involving serious or terminal illness. The 100 Club inspires folks to give much of themselves, their money and their time. From whatever point they get involved, often in the first few hours of an event, they continue to be there for survivors, family members, and the huge public safety family. It is a life-changing and uplifting support in its immediacy and throughout the years. There's a chemistry here. A bond shared by those who have been there and those on the front lines, together with the general public who are appreciative of their first responders and willing to help during critical times.
I had never heard of the 100 Club until my step-dad passed away. My step-dad was a Phoenix Police Officer who served and protected for over 20 years. In 2008 he lost his fight with cancer, and even though he did not die in the lie of duty the 100 Club stepped up to help our family both financially and emotionally. They were a huge relief in a time of grief, dis-believe and above all else a time of need. I tell people all the time about how they helped and encourage others to donate. I wish more people knew about the things they do because they are a huge asset to the public safety family.
On behalf of my entire family,
Thank you!!
My son, Peoria Officer Bill Weigt, was shot and paralyzed 6 years ago, Dec. 17 2005. The 100 Club of AZ was at the hospital from day one. They helped Bill and me through some rough days. We both enjoy volunteering for the 100 Club whenever we can. Being a non-profit, it takes a lot of dedicated volunteers to keep money coming in for the large number of first responders in AZ. The staff is a joy to work with. They've really become our extended family.
The 100 Club of Arizona, that has been around for decades, provides a great way for us to support our First Responders in their hour of need, just as they support us in our hour of need.

I have seen the 100 Club step in and help law enforcement families in their darkest hours. Their committment and concern for families of fallen and injured public safety personnel goes above and beyond expectations. They are truly a soft place to land in the time of crisis. As the dependents of a public safety officer, my sons have also received scholarship dollars that have enabled them to continue their educations with less debt and burden to our family.

I am a law enforcement widow & beneficiary. The organization, it's members & staff are all amazing beyond words! It's been almost 5 years since my husband passed & I feel forever grateful for their kindness, generosity & on-going efforts to care for the law enforcement family. EXCEPTIONAL CAUSE!

It's always been my desire to be involved in anything charitable that has to do with supporting law enforcement, fire fighters, paramedics, our first responders. Over the last 4 1/2 years I've gotten to know several police officers through the coffee shop I worked at and now, my own coffee shop that I just opened. It is because of these officers that I discovered The 100 Club and I made a decision before I opened that every month I would donate a percentage of my cash sales to them. As my business grows I intend to get more involved and do all I can to raise money for this wonderful group!

The 100 Club of Arizona provided me with three different scholarships. totaling $11,000, to attend Arizona State University. I didn't even realize that I would be eligible for a Scholarship, because my father was not injured or killed in the line of duty. But, because my dad is a Phoenix Firefighter who serves and protects his community, I was eligible to apply for the Scholarship Program. Thank you to the 100 Club for providing me with funds necessary for me to obtain a Bachelor of Science at age 20! I will be forever grateful.

The 100 Club of Arizona was first to my aid when my husband was killed in the line of duty 14years ago...they have maintained a strong relationship with my family to this day. Their support during the most difficult time of my life was so very helpful and will never be forgotten.

The 100 Club of Arizona provides financial assistance to families of fallen police officers, firefighters and other first responders. In addition to line-of-duty deaths, the 100 Club is now able to assist in cases of injury, non-line deaths and other areas of great need. I have seen familes helped at a great time of need, long before other benefits, if any, become available. I am a donor. I wish I could do more.

I am so very proud to be a member of The 100 Club. I joined many years ago because of their desire to help people that literally put their lives on the line for us every single day. This organization has been around for decades. They were honoring our "heros" before that became a popular way to describe these wonderful men and women. I am often moved to tears when I hear the stories behind some of the deaths, some of the injuries and sacrifices made - for us. I cry when I think of the children who will not have their parent as they grow up. I pray that they will know how loved they were even though that parent is gone. I will continue to support them realizing my contribution fails when compared to theirs.

I was involved with the 100 Club when I was a serving Police Officer, then joined when I retired. I find them to be a valuable asset to the law enforcement community.

I found the 100 Club of Arizona back in 2001 when I had raised some money to give to groups that help Public Safety. A Phoenix Police Officer who had purchased one of our THANK YOU BLUE wristbands (where the money is raised ;) told me about them. I emailed that I'd like to meet them, and received a very prompt reply from their Executive Director, Sharon Knutson Felix. She was very helpful and we became FAST friends. Anyone who knows Sharon will agree that she is the warmest and most genuine person you might ever meet. AND when it comes to the Mission of The 100 Club of Arizona there is no one that exemplifies that mission more than she. Originally introduced herself to the group as they knocked on her door with an assistance check after the loss of her police officer husband, she took her grief and sadness and turned it into a life's work of helping those in similar situations. Namely the loss of a family member In the Line of Duty. Sharon and the 100 Club have grown tremendously since that time and the organization has HER to thank for it. She makes me want to be a better person and to work harder for the 100 Club. She gets me to do things even I don't have time for. Why? Because she cares about her work. As do all of those who work with her (the staff, the board, and we volunteers :) I have seen the work they do. I have given them thousands (ney, 10's of thousands) of dollars and will continue to do so as I can. Every time we hear of another tragic loss of life or injury to a Police Officer of Fire Fighter, I feel better knowing The 100 Club is responding to their family in their time of need. Just like they do for us when we call. Kay Zahn Tempe, AZ
