Mission: To inspire, educate, and empower the biomedical community to improve health care delivery in the developing world.
Programs: Biomedical equipment technician (bmet) programs take place in one country: nigeria. They educate technicians employed in developing world hospitals in the management, maintenance and repair of medical equipment.
student programs engages the next generation of engineers through k-12 stem (science, technology, engineering and math) curricula, university chapters, and design activities to improve global health.
institute programs enable student engineers to live in a developing country, learn a new language, and use newly acquired technical skills to improve health care in the community. A training period is followed by a period of service in a local hospital during which participants install and repair medical equipment, train the staff, take inventory, solve problems and perform other engineering duties.
