Causes: Blind & Visually Impaired Centers, Disabilities, Human Services
Mission: End blind aims to motivate and help visually impaired children participate in education. The plan is to achieve this through various activities such as converting current text books in native language, including subjects like math & science to audio books and provide mp3 players to listen to these audio books; utilizing latest voice recognition software and sound delivery on mobile platforms for better communication, teach english and computer science classes, develop different profiles on these blind kids and develop a plan to facilitate these kids to achieve their goals with measures to track their development, conduct summer camps where the blind kids are provided opportunities to participate in sports and other outdoor activities and finally sponsor a blind kid to come to usa to experience the education here so they can return to their home country and share their knowledge to motivate others.
Programs: Was able to get employment for a blind person in india in it field. This has motivated a number of blind kids to learn computers. Trying to work with ngos in india to teach computers, conduct summer camps and distribute personal hygiene items( for girls like sanitary napkins) for blind kids. Identified partner ngo and will work on the above in 2018.
