I was surprised that there were no reviews on this site until it took me over two hours to sign up with Charity Navigator to submit one. I am not a volunteer, but a long standing member of Thirteen. When I recently received a request for a matching grant donation, I checked Thirteen on Charity Navigator which gave Thirteen's use of funding a low rating. In addition the top managers had unjustifiably high salaries, including a president emeritus honorary titled position getting $269,887 a year plus who knows what additional perks. I will remain a member and supporter of Thirteen, but any additional monies I might send to Public Broadcasting will go to a non profit with a better rating on how efficiently they use their funding, such as NPR Democracy Now program.
