Mission: To support and promote arts and culture in downtown san diego; to foster civic pride and enhance the quality of life in downtown san diego; to provide services, programs and activities that promote and preserve the health, welfare, education and cultural awareness of persons within downtown san diego; to raise, manage, and provide funds to allow the corporation to conduct or sponsor charitable or educational activities, services and programs that will support the improvement of the social, physical and cultural environment of downtown san diego; and to promote, enhance and finance charitable, religious, educational, literary, artistic or scientific activities through grants and contributions to organizations.
Programs: Homeless expense: family reunification program provides bus ticketes to homeless individuals to be reunited with their families. Dedicated bed program provides a bed for immediate treatment for homeless individuals.
east village enhanced services: provides target services to developers/investors in the east village neighborhood through power washing and security services
cdi: collaboratary for downtown innovation - a partnership between uc san diego and the downtown san diego partnership, in conjunction with the city of san diego, startup san diego and seed san diego. The program is desiged to deliver the resources needed to ensure that entrepreneurs and downtown innovators are connected with the research and development that is shaping new economic opportunities and that they have skills, resources and connections needed to grow this burgeoning urban innovation.
