I have attended the Women Helping Women Breast Cancer Brunch for several years now and I am always in awe of the many women who share their stories of survival. So many amazing women come together to share stories of strength, resiliency, and faith. Donna is doing God's work in taking her own personal journey to inspire and uplift other women.
On last year I was chosen to be an Honoree by this Great Organization. Women Helping Women what an excellent way to help each other. I was diagnosed with Bilateral Breast Cancer in 2017 . Just to share my story with other women who have had the same experience as I did mean a lot.
I am grateful to God and this Organization for the opportunity to fellowship with these wonderful ladies.
It lets me know that I'm not alone.
Thanks Donna, you are the best.
To sit amongst a group of ladies who have suffered yet survived the big “C” (Cancer) and be able to laugh, smile and give their testimony is more heartfelt yet enlightening for anyone to experience. Thanks to Women Helping Women sponsored by a survivor herself, Donna Thomas, ladies can reach out for comfort , advice, friendship and pure love!!!!
I have worked with this group over the last few years to provide information about our Louisiana Breast and Cervical Health program which helps eligible uninsured women to get no-cost mammograms and pap tests. Promotional items are supplied along with flyers. This organization provides outstanding information and social support to cancer survivors. As a health professional, I have also had the chance to council a few ladies going through their journey. Each year I have seen growth within this organization. Survivors are recognized and made to feel special. Keep up the good work and expansion.
