Mission: Rebuilding lives affected by domestic violence and sexual assault through advocacy, shelter, counseling, and education.
Programs: Residential:the shelter serves women and children who are homeless due to domestic violence and sexual assault. The 90 bed facility offers safe housing, counseling, referrals and case management services. 606 women and children were served during 2016-17 at the shelter. The transitional housing program facilitates the transition of survivors and their children to independent permanent housing. 76 women and children were served at mabee villas during 2017.
outpatient counseling:counseling for abusers, survivors and their children is available. Goals: to hold abusers accountable for their actions and reduce future violence; to enhance the safety of domestic violence survivors by providing safety planning. 1,463 clients were served during 2017.
legal/court advocacy:the legal/court advocacy program helps victims of domestic violence complete protective orders against their abuser. The legal department also helps victims with family legal matters that keep them from moving forward to a safe environment. Our court advocates served 3,319 protective orders at the family safety center and 5,174 at the tulsa county courthouse during 2017.
