Mission: The Partnership for Youth, Inc. was formed on July 1, 1999 through the merger of two-longstanding and respected agencies the Miami Valley region, Jobs for Graduates, Inc. of the Miami Valley and Diversion ALternatives for Youth.
Since 1986 Jobs for Graduates (JFG), part of a national network-Jobs for America's Graduates, has worked with youth ages 14-21, at-risk of not graduating from high school. Every year Jobs for Graduates maintains the goal of helping 90% of its seniors toward graduation with at least 80% of these graduates transitioning into a positive outcome-post secondary education, employment or the military.
Diversion Alternatives for Youth (DAY) is a social services agency that since 1979 has provided youth with mental health counseling, substance abuse prevention, intervention and treatment services. Prior to the merger DAY worked almost exclusively with the Juvenile Court system helping to reduce its clients' court involvement or recididivism by 65%.
The Partnership is in a unique position to offer a full continuum of blended services to our most vulenerable youth. In our first year as a merged organization we anticipate working with more than 3,000 youth and their families.
