My husband and I are forever grateful for the Desert Arc. Our 27 yr old son has been attending for 5 yrs. and he enjoys attending. Our lives would be so different right now without this facility and all they do for our desert community.
Special needs adults require so much from parents and it can be extremely stressful. My husband works as a CalFire captain and is gone a lot, the majority of care is on my shoulders. But, with the adult service during the day it gives us parents some respite and also allows parents to still be able to work and provide for their family.
Desert Arc has been a huge blessing in our lives. Forever grateful.
I have wroked at DesertArc for two years and experienced a dedication for the clients and their needs that I never expected.
It is a wonderful organization and do great work.

Amazing place filled with kind, loving, caring and inspiring people! This organization make a difference in the community by allowing their clients to thrive, supporting their dreams and bringing them closer to the equality they deserve!
Desert arc is so kool cuz they let you volunteer and work with their disabled clients and they are some really wonderful people
People in the Coachella Valley community know the name Desert Arc, but they really aren't aware of how much of an impact this organization has on a diverse and far-reaching segment of life.
As a parent and very involved volunteer, I've come to learn the importance their programs have on the developmentally disabled population, the variety of segments they serve and the overall value in the community.
The staff makes every day a blessing for their clients by taking them on outings in the community, hold holiday events, provide an annual camping experience, throw a dance, work with them on much-needed life skills in their day program or in their homes, foster social skills and friendships, create work opportunities, and offer sports and recreation programs...well, you can tell that I have become a passionate advocate for Desert Arc.
I also appreciate that they safely transport my daughter to and from her adult day program every day.
The programs they provide extend into benefiting the community and businesses where clients help in the recycling and landscaping programs, job placements, and completing contract work for businesses.
Or some of the clients, as my daughter, learn the value of giving to others by collecting bakery items to deliver to the mission or help to deliver meals on wheels.
Finally, they are involved in civic events and build award-winning floats every year for the local Golf Cart parade.
Yes, I'm raving about Desert Arc for the time and care they invest in their clients and the effort they make in creating ties that bind in the community. For that, it is my pleasure to volunteer to support Desert Arc in whatever way I can.
I really like the training Desert Arc gives me. We have fun events and activities for all us clients. Everybody gets involved and spreads the word about Desert Arc. We do walks together.
Everyone from Desert Arc are super friendly and I love volunteering for them. The non-profit does a great job building self esteem and a "you can do it!" attitude with people who are developmentally challenged. Some photos from Comic Con and a nonprofit event in Cabazon, CA
I've worked as a volunteer for Desert Arc a few times. The people were well organized, and appreciative.
I've had the opportunity to volunteer at many functions for Desert Arc. They have always been well organized and appreciated all the work volunteers do.
