Our family adopted a dog from this rescue. The dog had only been in a foster home for less than 1 week and was placed with us.
Long story short, the dog we adopted through this rescue attacked our other dog causing injuries.
We had to call Animal Control to pick up the dog. We only had the dog a couple of weeks and we asked the director, to refund our money. If nothing else, it would help with the vet bills we had with our dog that was attacked. Of course, we heard nothing back. Be careful with this rescue. It's not a good organization to do business with.

Dalmatian Rescue of Tampa Bay is a small group of dedicated volunteers working together to save at-risk (of euthanasia) Dalmatians and Dal-mixes in the state of Florida and other southern states when possible. No one receives compensation for their efforts and the group relies on donations to make it happen. DRTB averages 90 saves in a year with ~65 annual adoptions... the rest become care-for-life. Since we save many senior dogs abandoned by their owners and give them comfort and care until they reach a more natural end (based upon a normal life-span & health issues), a good number of dogs remain in DRTB's care through the use of foster homes. The group is very dedicated to the dogs and seeks to provide the best care that they can that will allow a dog to become adoptable.
