Mission: The object of this society shall be to create, foster, and maintain interest in genealogy; to assist and support the genealogy section of the j. Erik jonsson central library in dallas, texas, or to its legal successor; and to collect, preserve, copy, and index information relating to dallas county and its early history.
Programs: Genealogy programs: educational trip to salt lake city (16 attendees) for research purposes.
genealogy programs: 8 monthly educational general meetings and special interest groups covering various genealogy related topics. (480 attendees). Variety of speakers share their expertise by teaching research methods and location and use of various sources of information, archives and libraries.
