Cpm Educational Program

Programs: Cpm develops problem-based, student centered curriculum with mixed, spaced practice. The curriculum includes embedded universal access, literacy support, and checkpoint materials for determining progress toward mastery with ancillary materials including free online interactive web-based homework help, tools to accompany the lessons, mathcasts, parent guide with extra practice and an accelerated pacing guide. Cpm is expanding to include additional high school fourth year (grade 12) curriculum and developing desmos-based lesson activities. Calculus, third edition, was completed and the development of precalculus, third edition and statistics courses was begun. Professional development was provided to teachers that included a workshop series led by veteran mentor teachers. Each teacher also received a classroom visit for further support and lesson study. Cpm increased professional services for teachers by expanding complimentary site visits and workshops beyond the first year. Cpm provided instructional coaching services. Cpm also provided week-long summer professional learning institutes for new and veteran cpm teachers. Additionally, cpm offered a two-day national teacher conference, one-day workshops, a week-long summer institute, and participated in mathematics conferences providing sample lessons and strategies for teachers to use within their classroom with their current curriculum. Cpm granted materials for schools and university curriculum libraries, and granted professional development services, workshop attendance grants, and fellowship awards for researchers and supported pre-service mathematics teachers with materials for lesson planning and instruction. Cpm developed further upgrades to infrastructure to support curriculum and customer service including the ebook licensing system, hosting platform and customer help desk.
