Mission: Covenant place foundation (cpf) creates a vibrant, engaging community for seniors and helps residents of covenant place apartments live independently and with dignity. The caring, supportive services provided through cpf for covenant place apartment residents and seniors in the broader community promote health, psychological and social well-being, and help the elderly to successfully age in place. Some of the ongoing programs funded and/or delivered through covenant place foundation include: subsidized housekeeping, six day a week exercise classes, health and wellness programs, life-long learning opportunities, vial of life medicine/emergency contact records, assistance with filling out forms to access government programs/services, on-site annual flu & pneumonia immunizations, transport assistance to on-site podiatrist/physical therapy, online computer lab, free lending library, and programs to promote socialization and decrease isolation.
Programs: A grant was made to a community housing management corporation, a related 501(c)(3) public charity, to support the development of covenant place i, an energy efficient and accessible housing project. The new development will replace existing senior housing units whose residents are currently served by covenant place foundation.
subsidized housekeeping services were provided on a sliding scale,based on income, to over 70 seniors. This assistance with cleaning andlaundry helps elderly residents to maintain their apartment and toage in place with dignity.
premier health promotion services enable over 400 seniors to have on-site access to a wide variety of health providers and services including: podiatrist, nursing, inoculations, physical and occupational therapy, exercise classes, health fair and wellness education. Health and wellness programs are offered to community seniors as well as to covenant place apartment residents.
