Causes: Human Services, Seniors, Supportive Housing for Older Adults
Mission: As a ministry of the evangelical covenant church, covenant retirement communities celebrates god's gift of life in christian community. We follow the great commandment to love and serve god and one another as taught by jesus christ. (see schedule o)
Programs: Residential living:the number of persons who benefited from the services we provided for the year ended january 31, 2017 were as follows:there were 1,118 residents occupying 845 apartments as of 1/31/17. The residency for the fiscal year totaled 406,365 resident days.
assisted living & assisted memory support:the number of persons who benefited from the services we provided for the year ended january 31, 2017 were as follows:there were a total of 199 assisted living residents at 01/31/17. Assisted living residency for the fiscal year totaled 76,896 patient days.
skilled nursing:the number of persons who benefited from the services we provided for the year ended january 31, 2017 were as follows:there were a total of 346 skilled care patients at 01/31/17. Skilled care residency for the fiscal year totaled 124,505 patient days.
the organization was involved in various community benefits projects that include the following:the samarkand: - residents volunteered a total of 5,085 hours to various activities/events in the community. - provided space usage for meetings & events for small (under 35) to large groups (75+ people) including local churches, samarkand neighborhood association, santa barbara county activities directors, westmont college, peo, care, compliance rcfe class and various presentations such as "caring for an aging loved one," "identity theft, and "maximizing brain health" (equivalent to $130,806)- participated in the recycling project (540 hours, equivalent to $27,000)- monetary donations to alzheimer's association and land trust for sb county ($800 in total)- in-kind donation to alpha thrift store, direct relief international and transition house ($750 in value)- participated in operation christmas child to donate 66 shoeboxes ($1782 in total)covenant village of turlock:- staff members volunteered a total of 114 hours of their time to various activities/events in the community (equivalent to $10,450)- residents volunteered a total of 5,892 hours to various activities/events in the community at the local churches, police department, hospitals, library and others. - provided space usage for meetings & events for small (under 35) to large groups (75+ people) including the local churches, alzheimer's support group, loss of spouse support group, parkinson's support group, hospice support group, toastmasters, turlock historical society, turlock pregnancy center, young at heart, and others (equivalent to $1,508,500)- monetary donation ($300 in total)- in-kind donation (equivalent to 10,677)mt. Miguel covenant village:- staff members volunteered a total of 392 hours of their time in various areas of the community such as youth venture outreach, helen woodward animal center, at various ministries and others (equivalent to $29,400)- residents volunteered a total of 11,193 hours to the different areas of the community such as in local schools, local churches, local libraries, local shelters and food bank, quilting, knitting and sewing for various projects, bandages for global ministries, camp hope, san diego blood bank, san diego rescue mission, driver 4 neighbors program, san diego sheriff department, repeat boutique and others. Residents also raised in-kind donations to the homeless ministry at the san diego first presbyterian ministries, amvet department of california, and salvation army ($2,560 in estimated value). - in-kind donations to the homeless ministry at the san diego first presbyterian ministries veterans village of san diego, amvet department of california, san diego humane society and salvation army ($2,500 in estimated value)- hosted student internship program for kaplan college nursing students (equivalent to $8,000)- provided space usage for meetings and community events for small (under 35) to large groups (75+ people) including aqua fitness/water aerobics program, accordion lovers society international, community covenant church of el cajon, camp hope, holly jolly craft fair, various music and food events, various presentations of different topics and others (equivalent to $810,020)- sponsored a 7-day trip to new mexico for 26 residents and 21 non-residents (equivalent to $88,000)covenant shores:- staff members volunteered a total of 433 hours in different areas in the community including local churches, american cancer society, senior foundation of mercer island, clergy appreciation lunch and others (equivalent to $40,688)- residents volunteered a total of 15,576 hours to various areas in the community including the various knitting and sewing projects, local schools, library, churches, hospitals and nursing homes, food bank and various feeding programs, rotary club, salvation army antique kids dance group, and others. - provided space usage for meeting and community events for small (under 35) to large groups (75+ people) snoqualmie falls theater group, evergreen covenant church, first covenant church, solemates group breakfast, diversity club and american cancer society (equivalent to $133,500)- monetary donations to alaska christian college, evangelical covenant church, free wheelchair mission, mary's place, millionaire club charity, new horizons ministry, nicolas fund for education, operation night watch, our daily bread ministry, and salvation army ($7,340 in total)
