Mission: Copas was formed for the purposes of: providing a forum for the exchange of information and ideas, coordinating the work of the member societies, studying and analyzing accounting problem areas unique to the oil and gas industry, developing and distributing energy accounting guidelines, model form interpretations, best practices, and training and reference publications, and for promoting educational and professional development programs.
