Nonprofit Overview
Causes: Arts & Culture, Environment, Environmental Education, Performing Arts
Mission: Corrib theatre engages, inspires, entertains, and challenges audiences with theatrical productions filtered through the irish experience, and with a focus on contemporary and lesser-known voices; we foster a diverse theatre community in our artists and patrons, and celebrate the essential power of the theatre to illuminate our common humanity.
Programs: This year we presented two challenging and provocative full productions (25 performances) and two readings (5 performances) to the portland public, reaching more than 3,000 audience members. We hired over 50 actors, designers, directors, technicians, and crew. We held talkbacks and panel discussions to further our educational outreach. During the year we cultivated partnerships with other theatres, with local businesses and with artistic and community organizations. We reached out and established relationships with new playwrights whose work we plan to produce in the future.
