Mission: The Congregation is established on the basis of 4 fundamental principles:1) A commitment to worship God in the Jewish tradition and to teach Torah to all members, children and adult, in order to deepen their knowledge and understanding of the riches of Judiasm, and to better their lives and the life of our community; 2) To nuture and develop an extended family among all members in a welcoming atmosphere in order to create a true community of Jews supporting one another in bad times and celebrating together in good times; 3) To allow members' thoughts and ideas to be expressed, listened to, and incorporated into the operations of the Congregation and to take the time to thank, recognize and appreciate people for all their contributions, no matter how large or small;4) To establish and maintain a democratic process within the Congregation so that the future of the Congregation is determined by its membership and not by either small group of persons or the clergy.These principles guide us daily. We remind ourselves of our mission statement at board meetings, at services and throughout the day. These principles which not only guide our Or Ami life, but guide our every day lives.
