Mission:
The mission of The Concert Ballet of Virginia is to foster an appreciation of classical and contemporary dance by staging reasonably priced, affordable full-scale productions at convenient locations throughout the state, while providing excellent, challenging and unparalleled performance and creative opportunities within a professionally-mounted full-scale dance company.
Programs: Annual Performance Season - including 3 Repertory Gala programs in the company's home theatre, The Woman's Club Auditorium, Richmond and "The Nutcracker" presented in 4 separate Metro Richmond locations and includes: developing dancer skills to perform in different levels of company (ie: corps de ballet, soloist, principal dancers all come from within the company); challenging, training, and promoting members to choreograph, in particular female choreographers, with new works appearing in each Repertory Gala programs; and a repertory of traditional historic classical ballets, modern ballet as well as innovative and contemporary works.
