Here are a few quotes from singers and choir families past and current:

City Singers is such a wonderful choral program. The commitment to be a welcoming place for singers of all kinds is lived out and the singers flourish because of it. There's room for everyone to grow as singers together and the instruction ... is top-notch, and they model wonderful singing technique, along with humanity and kindness.

We've participated in Caroling Choir, and I was so impressed by how my young children learned difficult and impressive songs. They had fun while doing it, too! We've loved participating in Caroling Choir, and we're excited to officially join!
- City Singers Parent, 2024 (new choir family)

City Singers has been great for my son! It has increased his confidence, introduced him to new friends, and definitely increased his musical knowledge!
- City Singers Parent, 2024 (choir member for 5 years)

[My child] has grown tremendously as a singer and her confidence has soared. This has helped her come out of her shell. She has really loved being a part of City Singers!
- City Singers Parent, 2024 (graduating senior, choir member for 2 years)

[Through City Singers] I get to have more of a social life, and get to see a dream and passion become reality.
- City Singer, Class of 2025 (choir member for 2 years)

[My singer] has made such great friends in City Singers. Spending time and working along with other kids who love music like she does has done so much for her self confidence. She has really grown as a singer and as a person.
- City Singers Parent 2024 (choir member for 4 years)

No matter the school day and how it might have been tiring, my child comes home from CSYC with energy from singing, and enjoys the friends in the choir as a community.
- City Singer Parent 2020 (choir member for 7 years)

It has been the one thing she does that she consistently loves--that she leaves practice happy and excited. We love City Singers!

City Singers is a rare opportunity for kids to learn about other cultures in a way which lets them participate and have fun freely. I felt like I could forget about the divisions and problems between cultures while I was in CSYC. It’s what took music from something I was good at to something I truly loved.
- City Singer Alumnus, Class of 2022

I love that my kids get to be around musicians who love what they're doing. I like that the music is universally appealing and is curated for children's voices and specific parts that work for them.
- City Singers Parent 2021

My children sing CONSTANTLY, and once they started with City Singers, their singing has improved tremendously and become a much more frequent part of life. As a music educator myself, I love knowing that they are getting expert teaching, from people who truly understand their developing vocal mechanism.

Ten years ago I had a daughter who wanted to sing. She wanted to sing much more often than the one day each week she got to at our public school. I went looking for a quality program that was inclusive and would take the time to give her a complete, well-grounded choral education. I found those things and more with City Singers. She was with the choir for 9 years before she graduated and went on to accept a music scholarship to college. I doubt that she could have achieved as much as she has without the support, training, education and opportunities she found through City Singers. Three years ago, I agreed to serve on the board of directors. I love it that our directors are always challenging themselves and their students to come up with new ways to expand their creativity and talent.
