Mission: Cli's creates opportunities for disadvantaged communities, families and individuals to work to improve their lives. The current focus is increased educational opportunity for children and youth in laos, one of asia's poorest countries.
Programs: Cli's construction program builds primary schools for rural-remote villages, girls' dormitories at rural district high schools, school libraries, school toilets and water systems. This program benefited more than 8,000 students in 2017.
the lao children's library boats program operates two boats on the mekong river and tributaries, bringing books and learning activities to children in rural villages. The project regularly serves more than 120 villages. More than 7,000 children participated in the program in 2017.
cli operates 5 learning centers in rural district towns of luang prabang province. Each has a library of 1500-2500 books. Each has an activity program that provides life skills training in art, music, english language, cooking, sewing, weaving, etc. For ages 2-16. More than 5,000 children and youth participated in lc activities during 2017.
