Mission: Colorado Music Festival is a symphony orchestra made up of professional musicians from around the world who come together each year to form the summer orchestra. CMF strives to enrich its community through the presentation of classical music of the broadest scope and highest quality, while seeking to expand appreciation and awareness of the arts by offering concerts, recitals, and educational and outreach activities.
Programs: Colorado music festival promotes appreciation of musical arts through concerts performed by a professional orchestra and other musicians and through other music programs for the community. The other music programs included a robust series of summer music education programs in associaton with the festival. The music education programs include masterclasses for kids ages 13-18, classically kids workshops for kids ages 7-11, family fun concerts for kids ages 3-7, young peoples concerts for kids ages 2-6. The festival presented 26 concerts over its six week summer season. 2014 total attendance: 16,238
community music school for people of all ages, abilities, and financial means. Serving approximately 600 weekly students 42 weeks of the year. Principal programs include individual and small group lessons on all instruments and voice, early childhood classes, adult amateur performance ensembles, and professional concerts for the community. Heartstrings program of tuition assistance and musical instrument bank for families in need (instrument bank serves 36 public schools). 2014 total attendance: 20,987
