Causes: Ear & Throat Diseases Research, Health
Mission: The primary purpose of the corlas-us group is to promote and encourage research related to ear, nose and throat disorders/diseases. Toward that end, in 1949 the us group established an award honoring george shambaugh, sr. That is administered and given by the international corlas organization (not part of this 501(c)(3) organization)(see www. Corlas. Org). The shambaugh family established a separate trust administered by the fidelity charitable trust. This fund is not part of the corlas-us group. The award is given every other year and the recipient is not selected by the us group. For a list of the international recipients see http://www. Corlas. Org/prizes. Htm. The corlas-us group did however purchase award medals for the recipients. In 2015 the corlas-us group is planning to hold an international medical/research meeting in san francisco to help disseminate knowledge about current research in the area of ear, nose and throat disorders and diseases.
