Causes: Birth Defects & Genetic Diseases Research, Health
Mission: The organization exists for the charitable purpose of encouraging, enabling and supporting cystic fibrosis patients to live beyond the limitations of the disease by providing patients with financial assistance for fitness, athletic and scholarly pursuits, mentorship and athletic advisement, athletic team and program referrals and mediation, goal coaching and planning, and lifetime experiences in athletics and adventure.
Programs: Provided grants for fitness and health pursuits to twenty five (25) cystic fibrosis patients. Created a web video and blog series chronicling our grant recipients' pursuits and successes. Completed a zumbathon event. Attended conferences and clinic meetings to discuss our program and fitness impact on cystic fibrosis. Collaborated with other cystic fibrosis charities to improve and refine our programming. Developed programs to reach cystic fibrosis patients directly, including nutrition support and personal training.
