Mission: Cleveland Int'l Program began in 1956 to promote peace thru international professional exchange. Initially began with Cleveland and Germany, the program grew to countries worldwide, where visiting internationals trained with Cleveland based human service agencies, lived with host families and participated in cultural and educational activities. More recently, professional fields have expanded, lengths of stay vary from 1-18 months and currently, some reciprocal exchanges provide opportunities for Cleveland professionals to travel abroad in follow-on activities. Over 2100 exchanges have occurred in 110 countries.
