Programs: Capital/major gifts campaign: the foundation raised the funds for new buildings and other initiatives for clark state community college. In 2015, the foundation began a major gifts campaign to raise money for four different initiatives focused on student success: (1) increasing the number of youth who are ready for college; (2) removing financial barriers for students; (3) ensuring exceptional instruction, curriculum, and technology; and (4) increasing applied learning opportunities for our businesses and communities.
scholarships and loans - clark state's tuition is one of the lowest in the region at approximately $3,000 per year for full-time students. However, this is still out of reach for many students. Each year, the foundation awards approximately $200,000 in student assistance to around 200 students. Gifts to the scholarship fund can help transform lives through the power of education and provide our community with various professionals. An investment in our students is an excellent investment in clark county's economic development, as 85% of clark state graduates stay in our community. In addition to scholarships, the foundation also makes short-term loans for tuition and books to students who are awaiting financial aid.
performing arts center (pac) - the clark state foundation supports clark state pac facilities, programs and education outreach. The pac serves as a performance home for the college's own season of events, as well as for six area resident art groups. The pac promotes excellence in learning through teacher training workshops, artist residencies, and community/school partnerships. Last year teachers who were instructed in these programs applied what they learned in teaching almost 90,000 children. The pac also presents live performances to around 5,000 young people each year.
