Mission: The Clarion Music Society is a New York orchestra comprising many of the country's finest period-instrument players. I have enjoyed working with the Clarion Music Society. Clarion has attracted the top musical talent in the NY region thanks to the tireless efforts and breathtaking talent of Conductor/Artistic Director Steven Fox. The Board is passionate about music, and united in its commitment to promote early works in the New York classical music scene. They are a wonderful group of individuals, and Steven is an inspiring leader. It's not enough to listen to Clarion- I had to get involved on a deeper level, and have found my volunteer work very rewarding.

Clarion consistently delivers a beautiful, well-programmed concert characterized by gifted playing, skilled artistic direction, and historically-informed performance. The orchestra brings life to both more well-known music like Bach's Christmas cantatas and to less well-known pieces, such as works by Mendelssohn and Russian composers which are rarely or never heard. The talent and dedication of Steven Fox and his musicians are truly astounding.
