Mission: To attack the health and social problems of the south bronx and to retain the elderly and the handicapped in the community, who otherwise would be institutionalized. Ccia serves all individuals despite religion, creed or race. In addition, ccia helps to provide jobs to individuals who would otherwise be on the welfare rolls, collecting unemployment, food stamps, medicaid, housing allowances, etc. Ccia is a 1,000 case load home attendant and housekeeping agency under contract with the nys human resources administration to provide these services.
Programs: In fiscal year 2010, ccia served approximately 900 clients in the bronx on a daily basis. All our clients are medicaid recipients who were assigned to us by the nys human resources administration. We employed over 1200 home attendants who provided more than 2,008,000 hours of service to these clients and grossing in excess of $33,550,000 of revenues from the medicaid management information systems. We also employed 30 administrative staff employees to effectively supervise home attendants and administer the program in a manner consistent with our contractual agreement with hra and other government regulated bodies.
