Mission: Provide members of the general public an eucational and enjoyable experience which is sensitive to native cultures and assists the forest service in protecting the site.
Programs: Crnm experienced significant increase in visitation in 2017 with 13,523 total visitors, a 14% increase year over year. This is due in part to the very focused marketing campaign that has been built upon annually since 2015. Cria introduced a new annual special event called dances of the ancients in 2017 that was sold out attracting many more visitors to the monument over memorial day weekend that in past years. We also had a one-time solar eclipse event that was also sold out over a month in advance, which has never happened. These two new programs have lead us to continue the dances of the ancients for 2018 (and increasing the number of visitor capacity) and adding two additional new programs. We have found that new programs/events are a great way to increase revenue. Cria conducted a first time ever cash raffle to help raise general operating funds for the organization. $4,349. 00 was generated as a result with little overhead and man hours.
