Programs: The lmcc trust purpose is to improve communications between the chicago building trades council and the building and construction industries and provide a forum to discussion on matters of mutual interest; study and implement new approaches to achieving organizational effectiveness; assist in solving problems of mutual concern not susceptible to resolution in the collective bargaining process; enhance involvment of workers in decisions that affect their employement and expand working relationships between employees and the building and construction industries; encourage free collective bargaining by establishing and maintaining communication between building and construction industries, unions and employees; foster peaceful resolution to building and construction industries jurisdictional disputes; develop rules and procedures with the approval of the chicago building trades council to prevserve work opportunities for employees and the building and construction industries; obtain governmental and philanthropic assistance for work recovery and work preservation projects as warranted; promote communciations among the chicago building trades council, employees represented by unions and the building construction industries to enhance placement opportunities with special skills and to meet the needs of the building and construction industries for employees with special qualifications.
