Causes: Arts & Culture, Performing Arts Centers
Mission: The exempt purpose of charleston concert association is to increase awareness of the performing arts by providing cultural and educational opportunities for the charleston community.
Programs: Concert season - charleston concert association (cca) presented and produced four classical performing arts events at affordable discounted rates in order to increase awareness in the general population of the performing arts. Approximately 2,800 people attended these events and 3,000 program booklets were printed.
marketing - cca actively markets their concerts. In addition to maintaining its facebook page and sending out emails to its email list, cca placed advertisements in various publications including arts daily, city of charleston arts calendar, charleston magazine, charleston mercury, city paper and lowcountry marketplace. Cca also mailed out 5,000 brochures and 15,000 postcards to households and businesses. Cca put up multiple window and kiosk posters and, before each concert, cca sent out 350 letters to potential individual ticket buyers.
community initiative - through community initiatives, cca provided free admission to the performing arts events to 50 students from the college of charleston school of arts and upward bound programs.
