Mission: Central oklahoma habitat for humanity is a nonprofit, ecumenical christian housing ministry working in partnership with god and the community to build simple, decent, affordable housing, and to provide hope for responsible, hard-working, limited income families in substandard conditions.
Programs: Forty-four low income homeowners purchased houses in the year ended june 30, 2014. These were new houses built by central oklahoma habitat using donated materials and labor, and sold at cost on a no interest mortgage. Mortgage payments are recycled to help build more new homes, reducing our need for fund raising.
weatherization and/or repairs were completed for forty low income homeowners beginning july 1, 2013, and ending june 30, 2014. During fye 6/30/14 there were also contributions received in the amount of $92,336.
the oganization owns and operates habitat renovation station, llc, which consists of two retail stores selling construction and other home improvement materials. Much of the stores' inventory is donated from companies and the general public. The stores also purchase close-out, liquidation, and new inventory in an effort to maintain adequate selection and inventory levels. The gross revenues were $2,621,409 and expenses netted with revenue were $1,481,523.
