Programs: Publications: "theology and science", the ctns journal's purpose is to publish critically reviewedarticles that promote the creative mutual interaction between the natural siences and theology. Thequarterly journals are sent to all current members of the center. The ctns web site provides informational resources to ctns members and the general public. Theseresources provide information in general on understanding of the mutual interaction between thenatural sciences and theology, and teaching resources for professors. The ctns e-news provides brief updates of interest to current ctns members. Two staff members work part-time on the web site and newsletter.

events: ctns public forums provide lectures and discussions for the general public and student community in the dialogue between religion and science. Ctns hosted several public forums in 2014 three people worked on these programs part-time. Ctns hosted an annual j. K. Russell research fellowship with a conference in the spring of 2014.

Townes graduate student fellowship in 2005 in order to help support doctoral students at the graduate theological union working in science and theology. Two fellowships were awarded in 2014. The ctns-vatican obseratory program collaborates research on scientific perspectives on divine action in the world, which led to a publication with fifteen authors for a new series in 2007, physics and cosmology:scientific perspectives on the problem of natural evil. The science and transcendence advanced research series (stars) program's goal is to sponsor researchby small teams of scientists and humanities scholars on the ways science, in light of philosophical and theological reflection, points towards the nature, character and meaning of ultimate reality. " this project is a multiyear grant for examing the scientific and theological understandings of randomness in nature. 2013 is when the grant started and three staff members are working part time on the project, which will include a research conference and public event in future years.
