Mission: To use appropriate technologies and social networks to assist people with disabilities, improve healthcare in remote and medically underserved areas and reduce global health disparities.
Programs: In conjunction with its partners, the cir has designed assistive technology such as wheelchairs and prosthetic devices, conducted distance learning and technology training workshops, and compiled and published a research report on the status of disability rights in 14 european countries. Cir has also participated in the development of new methods of analysis and outreach to military veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder and other disorders.
