The Center for Grief & Loss Counseling and Education has been a monumental step in my recovery from a personal issue. Their friendly and knowledgeable staff helped make the recovery process less painful and easier/more efficient to deal with. With the flexible pay schedule, I was able to get the help I needed; when it would not have been possible elsewhere or without their assistance. In having such a positive, and helpful, experience- I know that I can count on them, should I need their services, in the future. I feel that the Center is fulfilling a necessary role in our community, and provides an invaluable service to anyone in need. Pueblo has a few facilities that claim to be available for the public, but in researching for my own needs, found that C.F.G.& L.C. is the only center that was right for me and my family.

During my search for a counseling internship, I called and left messages with countless counseling organizations. With little to no success from anyone, I began to feel discouraged and hopeless in finding an internship. When I called the Center for Grief and Loss I was immediately contacted back and welcomed in for an interview. Lenore spoke with me about my goals, counseling techniques, and own personal story of seeking counseling as a profession. After speaking with me for over an hour Lenore invited me to become a part of the team as an intern. I was so happy that someone finally took the time out of their busy schedule to meet with me and offer me an opportunity to grow as a counselor at their organization. I learned so much from both the staff and clients that walked through the doors of the Center for Grief and Loss. I will never forget my time there, and how much I learned as an intern. The supervision that Lenore provided me with was personal, inspiring, and educational. The center for Grief and Loss truly cares about helping others in need throughout the community, even individuals seeking an internship. The center for Grief and Loss may be a small organization, but they have a big impact on the community. Thank you again! Jessica B.
