Mission: To promote the art & science of engineering, enlarge & enhance engineering & scientific knowledge & applications, disseminate such knowledge, to promote applied research & education. In particular, to provide experience based learning opportunities for all persons.
Programs: Step: to provide an opportunity for high school and community college students who have shown an interest in pursuing careers in engineering or engineering technology with a technology internship with a company in the technology field
scholars program: is a collection of educational programs for gifted children from the elementary age through high school. The program's mission is to "encourage excellence and enrichment opportunities among gifted students. " component programs include young scholars, which provides enrichment programs for elementary-age children who have been identified as gifted; saturday scholars, a lecture series for gifted high school students.
pathways: the program provides a unique opportunity for a paid internship-style experience. Students have the opportunity to learn from engineers and technicians in the context of designing, building and testing projects related to science and engineering.
imsp: outreach programs provide hands-on opportunities to increase the knowledge and skills of educators, particularly in science and mathematics. Teachers on the foundation staff offer summer workshops and visit classrooms to model inquiry-based instruction.
