Mission: CASA volunteers work in the court system in collaboration with key agencies, legal counsel, and community resources to serve as the child?s advocate, and to represent the child in juvenile court. The volunteer performs three vital functions: 1) provides the only independent reports to the court singularly focused on the child?s needs; 2) serves as the one steady presence in the child?s life; and 3) maintains the complete history for all the other parties who will take part in the case and then be replaced.
